– The calibration count is stored in reading memory, and does not change when power has been off, after a factory
reset (*RST command), or after an instrument preset (SYSTem:PRESet command).
CALibration:DATE?
Returns the date of the last calibration in the format yyyy,mm,dd.
Parameter Typical return
(none) +2018,+1,+1
Returns the date of the last calibration: CAL:DATE?
– You can perform this query regardless of whether the instrument is secured.
– The date is based on the instrument's real-time clock. Set the date for the instrument's real-time clock with
SYSTem:DATE and SYSTem:TIME.
– This setting is non-volatile; it will not be changed by power cycling, after a factory reset (*RST command), or after
an instrument preset (SYSTem:PRESet command).
CALibration:SECure:CODE <new_code>
Sets a new security code (calibration password) to prevent accidental or unauthorized calibrations. The specified
code is used to unsecure the mainframe and all plugged-in modules. To change the security code, you must first
unsecure the instrument using the old security code, and then enter a new code.
Parameter Typical return
<new_code> = Unquoted string of up to 12 characters.
First character must be a letter (A-Z), remaining may contains letters, numbers
(0-9), or underscore "_". Blank spaces are not allowed.
(none)
Sets a new calibration security code to "DAQ970A":
CAL:SEC:STAT OFF,OLD_CAL_CODE
CAL:SEC:CODE DAQ970A
CAL:SEC:STAT ON
– When you first receive your instrument, it is secured, and the default security code is set to "DAQ970A".
– This setting is non-volatile; it will not be changed by power cycling, after a factory reset (*RST command), or after
an instrument preset (SYSTem:PRESet command).
– If you forget your security code, you can override the security feature. For more information, see
DAQ970A/DAQ973A Service Guide.
