CALibration:STRing "<string>"
CALibration:STRing?
Stores one message in calibration memory in the mainframe. For example, you can store such information as the
date when the last calibration was performed, the date when the next calibration is due, the instrument's serial num-
ber, or even the name and phone number of the person to contact for a new calibration.
Parameter Typical return
<string> = Quoted string of up to 40 characters.
May contains letter (A-Z), numbers (0-9), or special characters (@, *, %, and so
on).
"CAL: Jan 1 2018"
Stores a message in calibration memory in the mainframe: CAL:STR "CAL: Jan 1 2019"
– If no calibration message has been specified, an empty quoted string ("") is returned.
– You can record a calibration message only when the instrument is unsecured (CALibration:SECure:STATe OFF
command). You can read the message from either the front-panel or over the remote interface. You can read
the calibration message whether the instrument is secured or unsecured.
– Storing a calibration message will overwrite any message previously stored in calibration memory.
– This setting is non-volatile. It will not be changed by power cycling, after a Factory Reset (*RST command) or
Instrument Preset (SYSTem:PRESet command).
CALibration:TEMPerature?
Returns the temperature of the last calibration in Celsius, °C.
Parameter Typical return
(none) +2.42850208E+001
Returns the calibration temperature: CAL:TEMP?
– You can perform this query regardless of whether the instrument is secured.
– This setting is non-volatile. It will not be changed by power cycling, after a Factory Reset (*RST command) or
Instrument Preset (SYSTem:PRESet command).
