3.4.8 Polishing units with polishing paste
The grinding machine is equipped with two pol-
ishing units ((3-14/1) and (3-14/2)) for polishing
the knives.
The polishing unit on the left (3-14/1) swivels for-
ward to polish and deburr the knife blade.
The polishing unit on the right (3-14/2) swivels
forward to polish the back of the knife.
The position of the polishing units relative to
the knives is adjusted with the help of the hand
wheels ((3-14/3) and (3-14/4)).
The polishing paste is applied automatically in
each case via a pneumatic cylinder.
