Safely performing oil level check, oil change and filter element change
If oil level check, oil change and filter element change are not performed safely, the
operational safety of the machine may be affected. This can lead to accidents.
Safely perform oil level check, oil change and filter element change.
In order to perform oil level check, oil change and filter element change safely:
Lower raised machine parts or secure them against falling,refer to page23.
Shut down and safeguard the machine, refer to page23.
Observe the intervals to check the oil, change it and to change the filter element, refer to
page53.
Only use oil qualities/oil quantities mentioned in the consumables table, refer to page32.
Clean the area around the parts (for example gearbox, high-pressure filter) and make sure
that foreign bodies do not get into the parts or the hydraulic system.
Check existing seal rings for damage and replace them, if necessary.
Collect leaking oil or waste oil in a special container and dispose of it properly, refer to
page19.
2.5 Safety labels on the machine
Every safety label is provided with an order number and can be ordered directly from the
authorised KRONE dealer. Immediately replace missing, damaged and unrecognisable safety
labels.
When attaching safety labels, the contact surface on the machine must be clean and free of dirt,
oil and grease to ensure optimum adhesion of the labels.
