7 Start-up
7.4 Connecting hydraulic hoses

Attach the top link to the coupling triangle or to the upper coupling point of the machine so that
the raised machine is aligned as parallel as possible to the ground.
ü The machine is mounted on the tractor.
Lift the machine via the front hydraulics, refer to page46.
Shut down and safeguard the machine, refer to page23.
Check that the machine is parallel to the ground.
Æ When the raised machine is aligned parallel to the ground, continue with the connection.
Æ If the machine is not parallel to the ground:
Lower the machine to the ground, refer to page46.
Shut down and safeguard the machine, refer to page23.
Move the top link in the hole pattern on the coupling triangle.
Lift the machine via the front hydraulics, refer to page46.
Check that the machine is parallel to the ground.
Repeat the process until the raised machine is parallel to the ground.
7.4 Connecting hydraulic hoses
To connect the hydraulic hose correctly, the hydraulic hose(1) is identified by a number or
letter.
Hydraulic hoses for connection to a single-acting control unit are identified by a number and a
plus sign, e.g.(1+).
Control units on the tractor must be used for lifting and lowering the mower and can be locked in
the neutral position to prevent unintentional operation.

Depressurise the tractor hydraulics.
Shut down and safeguard the machine, refer to page23.
Clean and dry the connections of the quick couplings.
7.5 Installing universal shaft
WARNING
Risk of injury by failure to take account of the danger zone of the universal shaft
If the danger zone of the universal shaft is ignored, persons can be seriously hurt or killed.
To avoid accidents, observe the danger zone of the universal shaft, refer to page16.
