The spring safety chain (2) located in the relief spring (1) must not be tensioned in the mowing
position and it must be checked via visual inspection.
To do this:
• Move the mowing unit to working position.
• Check spring safety chain via visual inspection.
Everything is OK if the spring safety chain sags.
If the spring safety chain tensions, the retaining chain must be hooked in by one link
longer into the tension jack.
To do this:
• Move mowing unit to headland position.
• Hang retaining chain (3) by one link longer into the tension jack.
Repeat this process until the spring safety chain is no longer tensioned in working position.
