16.4 Wrapping and Depositing Bales
• Start tying or wrapping process (refer to the chapter entitled “Operation”), continue crop
collection until tying or wrapping material is transported from crops into the bale chamber
and covered from the round bale. To do this, always observe the nominal speed of 540
rpm
until tying process is complete.
• Stop the tractor and wait until the tying or the wrapping process has been finished.
• Eject the round bales by opening the bale chamber. Always open the tailgate of Fortima
V1500 (MC) and Fortima V1800 (MC) completely, as enough pressure can only be built up
for sufficient floor conveyor tension when the cylinders are fully extended.
• Always close the bale chamber of Fortima V1500 (MC) and Fortima V1800 (MC) just with
idle speed and start the next baling process.

To relieve the load on the floor conveyor, the tension of the front and the rear floor conveyor
must be released when baling work is complete.
• Swivel stop cock (1) of control valve (2) from position “b” to position “a”.
The clamping cylinders of the floor conveyors are depressurised.
