Installing the PlanAPO Objective
General instructions

According to the order, the LeicaDVM6
digital microscope is delivered in a pre-
assembled state. The desired objective and
optional accessories have to be assembled
onsite.

Make sure not to touch optical and elec-
trical parts.
Installing the objective
•
The objective weighs approximately
2 kg. Therefore, hold it firmly during
assembly and disassembly. Remove any
samples from the XY stage before assembly.
1. Take the objective out of the dust protec-
tion bag.
2. Attach the sliding guide of the objective to
the dovetail guide and push it in as far as it
will go.
3. Fasten the objective using the clamping
screw.

Keep the delivery packaging in a safe
place; it also serves as a means of storing
the objective.
