Side light adapter
O The side light adapter (10 450 711) influ-
ences the ring light illumination.
O The side light adapter reduces the distance
to the sample.
O Using the side light adapter, light is directed
onto the sample at a shallow angle. This
accentuates irregularities on the sample
surface (e.g. waviness or scratches).
Transmitted light stage
O When using the transmitted light stage
(10 450 712), the light is directed through
the sample from below.
O The transmitted light stage is used for
transparent or thinly cut samples.
O The transmitted light stage is also suitable
for "backlighting" openings or drilled holes.
