Instructions for safe assembly

Hold the diffuser firmly during assem-
bly and disassembly so that it does not
fall onto the XY stage.
The diffuser 10450709 is not included in
the standard delivery of the LeicaDVM6.
You do not have to switch off the
Leica DVM6 or the illumination when
installing accessories.
Assembly
To prevent possible damage to the
samples, remove them from the XY
stage. Rotate the focus drive downwards to
create more room for assembly.
1. Attach the diffuser so that it perfectly fits
onto the objective.
2. Lock the diffuser on the objective by
turning it slightly until it engages. The
diffuser is detected by the LAS X software
automatically.
Using the diffuser, the light is distributed
in a uniform manner to minimize bright
spots on shiny glossy or reflective sample
surfaces.
