Troubleshooting
Possible errors
Error Correction
No image on the monitor Switch on the Leica DVM6, Windows PC and the monitor. Connect the DVM6 to the computer via USB 3.0.
Ensure that the objective is present on the DVM6 and is inserted all the way.
Start the LAS X software and activate the live display.
Switch on one of the available illumination options (visual inspection).
Lengthen the exposure time in the LAS X software or switch it to automatic.
Use the focus drive to move the sample surface into the working distance area of the objective being used and set
the zoom ring to the lowest magnification level.
When using a coaxial illumination, set the relief contrast to the OPEN setting.
The motorized focus drive
cannot be activated in the LAS X
software
Ensure that the DVM6 is powered by the power supply and that the power switch is switched on before starting
the LAS X software.
Ensure that the DVM6 is connected to the computer via USB 3.0. You may have to restart the LAS X software after
the USB connection has been made.
The motorized XY stage cannot
be activated in the LAS X
software
