Chapter 12. Quality of Service
QualityofService(QoS)featuresallowyoutoallocatenetworkresourcesto

suchfactors astimedelaysornetworkcongestion.Youcanconfigureyournetwork

QoS Overview
QoShelpsyouallocateguaranteedbandwidthtocriticalapplications,andlimit
bandwidthforlesscriticalapplications.Applicationssuchasvideoandvoicemust
haveacertainamountofbandwidthtoworkcorrectly;using QoS,youcanprovide
thatbandwidthwhennecessary.Also,youcanputahighpriorityonapplications
that
aresensitivetotimingoutorthosethatcannottoleratedelay,assigningthat
traffictoahigh‐priorityqueue.
ByassigningQoSlevelstotrafficflowsonyournetwork,youcanensurethat
networkresourcesareallocatedwheretheyareneededmost.QoSfeaturesallow
youtoprioritizenetworktraffic,thereby
providingbetterserviceforselected
applications.

WithDiffServ,youcanestablish
