Port Aggregation
EnterpriseNOS8.4supportsportaggregationforFCoEconnections.Link
Aggregation(LAGs)canbeusedforseparateFCoEtraffic,orforEthernetand
FCoEtraffic.TheportscanbegroupedasstaticLAGSordynamicLACPLAGs.
NormalaggregationoperationssuchascreatingorenablingaLAG,andaddingor
removing
memberportscanbeperformed.WhenaportisaddedtoaLAG,FCFs
previouslydetectedontheportwillbedeleted.ThedeletedFCFmayberelearned
later.However,thismaycauseflickeringinthenetworktraffic.Itisrecommended
thatanyLAGchangesaremadepriortoliveFCoE
traffic.
Priority‐basedFlowControl(PFC)andDataCenterBridging(DCBX)are
configuredonaper‐portbasis.EachportinaLAGmusthavethesameETS,PFC
andDCBXconfiguration.WhenaportceasestobeaLAGmember,its
configurationdoesnotchange.
Note: Iftheportschosento
bepartofacertainLAGdonothavethesamePFC,
ETSorDCBXconfigurations,theswitchwilldisplayanerror.
Global FIP Snooping Settings
Bydefault,theFIPsnoopingfeatureisturnedofffortheCN4093.Thefollowing
commandsareusedtoturnthefeatureonoroff:

page 302).
WhenFIPsnoopingison,portparticipationmaybeconfiguredon
aport‐by‐port
basis(seebelow).
WhenFIPsnoopingisoff,allFCoE‐relatedACLsgeneratedbythefeatureare
removedfromallswitchports.
FIP Snooping for Specific Ports
WhenFIPsnoopingisgloballyturnedon,portsmaybeindividuallyconfiguredfor
participationinFIPsnoopingandautoma ticACLgeneration.Bydefault,FIP
snoopingisenabledforeachport.Tochangethesettingforanyspecificport,use
thefollowingCLIcommands:
WhenFIPsnoopingisenabledona port,
FCoE‐relatedACLswillbeautomatically
configured.
WhenFIPsnoopingisdisabledonaport,allFCoE‐relatedACLsontheportare
removed,andtheswitchwillenforcenoFCoE‐relatedrulesfortrafficontheport.
Note: FIPSnoopingandIPv6ACLsarenotsupportsimultaneous lyonthesa me
ports.
