Attention:MakesurethatyoubackupyourdatabeforeremovingtheRAIDcardbecauseyoumightneedto
recongureRAIDandreinstalltheoperatingsystemafterremovingtheRAIDcard.IfyouremovetheRAID
card,youwilllosetheadvancedSATA/SAShardwareRAIDfunctions.Also,aspecicRAIDcardisrequired
forservermodelswithmorethanfourharddiskdrivesormodelsthatuseSASharddiskdrives.
Beforeyoubegin,printalltherelatedinstructionsorensurethatyoucanviewthePDFversiononanother
computerforreference.

ToremovetheRAIDcard,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.

3.Laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
4.LocatetheRAIDcard,whichisinstalledinthePCI-Eslot3onthesystemboard.See“Systemboard
