ToinstalltheRAID5keyontheRAIDcard,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage85.
3.Laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
4.LocatetheRAIDcard,whichisinstalledinthePCI-Eslot3onthesystemboard.See“Systemboard
components”onpage42.
5.Removeanypartsordisconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouroperation.
6.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheRAID5keytoanyunpaintedsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,taketheRAID5keyoutofthepackage.
