Beforeyoubegin,printalltherelatedinstructionsorensurethatyoucanviewthePDFversiononanother
computerforreference.

theinstructionsinthistopic.
ToinstalltheTPMmodule,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage85.
3.Laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
4.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheTPMmoduletoanyunpaintedsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,taketheTPMmoduleoutofthepackage.
