4 Mechanical installation
4.1 Important notes
ƒ The regenerative power supply module and the mains filter may only be used as
built−in units!
ƒ Observe free space:
You can install several regenerative power supply modules next to each other
without free space in a control cabinet.
Provide for short mains filter connecting cables (from a cable length of 30 cm,
shielded cables must be used).
Allow a free space of 100 mm at the top and at the bottom.
Ensure unimpeded ventilation of cooling air and outlet of exhaust air.
ƒ If the cooling air contains pollutants (dust, fluff, grease, aggressive gases), which
may impair the function of the regenerative power supply module:
Take suitable preventive measures, e.g. separate air duct, installation of filters,
regular cleaning, etc.
ƒ Do not exceed the permissible ambient temperature during operation ( 83).
ƒ If the regenerative power supply modules are exposed to continuous vibrations,
check if vibration dampers can be used.
Possible mounting positions
ƒ Vertically on the control cabinet back panel with mains connections at the top:
Mounting techniques
