5.2 Installation according to EMC (installation of a CE−typical drive system)
The measures described must be carried out to comply with the EMC standards specified.
Control cabinet mounting plate
ƒ For HF earthing, only use mounting plates with an electrically conductive surface
(e.g. zinc−coated surface).
ƒ If you use mounting plates with poor conducting surfaces (e.g. painted, anodised,
yellow chromated):
– Remove the paint or coating from the contact surfaces of the mains filter,
regenerative power supply module and shield connections to provide a
large−surface, electrically conductive connection.
ƒ If you use several mounting plates, connect them with a surface as large as possible
(e.g. by copper bands).
ƒ Provide a surface contact as large as possible between the regenerative power
supply module, mains filter and the earthed mounting plate.
Control cables
ƒ The control cables must always be shielded.
ƒ Connect the shields of the control cables on both sides.
ƒ If you expect potential differences, install an additional equalising cable.
