(4) Replacing Fuel filter cartridge
▶ Do not fill the new filter with fuel. The invisible fine foreign materials enter the
injection pump and it may cause damage to the fuel injection system.
Caution
② Fuel pre-fuel filter
z Apply parking brake and set a container under
the main fuel filter.
z Remove the electric wiring connected to the
water sensor, and remove water sensor.
z Turn the filter counter-clockwise to remove with
using a filter wrench.
z Coat the seal of new filter with a little fuel.
z Assemble new filter.
z Bleed the air from the main fuel filter. (Refer to
the section 5-13, “General maintenance” )

z Apply parking brake and set a container under
the main fuel filter.
