Assembly
7. Remove bearing assembly (A) and seal (B) from roller
tube (C) as follows:
NOTE:
Seal (B) is not used on the D50 Draper Header.
a. Attach slide hammer (D) to threaded shaft (E) in the
bearing assembly.
b. Tap out bearing assembly (A) and seal (B).
8. Clean the inside of roller tube (C), check the tube for signs
of wear or damage, and replace it if necessary.

9. Install new bearing assembly (A) by pressing the outer race
of the bearing into the tube until it is 14–15 mm
(0.55–0.2 in.) (B) from the outside edge of the tube.
10. Apply grease in front of bearing assembly (A). Refer to the
inside back cover for specifications.
11. Position new seal (C) at the roller opening and position a
flat washer (1 in. ID x 2 in. OD) on the seal.
12. Tap seal (C) into the roller opening with a suitably sized
socket until gap (D) between the seal and the outside edge
of the tube is 3–4 mm (0.12–0.16 in.).
