(f). Reinstall instrument panel right side
fairing.
(9). Turn on electrical power and check all
three instruments in assembly for
proper operation.
(10). Record conversion in Compliance
Record of Helicopter Log Book.
3. Fuel Quantity Sender Modification (369D
S/N 0001 − 1116)
NOTE:
D This modification is applicable to P/N
369D296303-BSC, -701, or 369A4245
series fuel quantity senders installed in
the affected helicopters, and all affected
fuel quantity senders in spares.
D This modification shall be accomplished if
FUEL LOW caution light glows dimly
when known fuel quantity exceeds low
level warning limit, or when affected
parts are installed from spares.
D The modification adds a 510 ohm resistor
P/N RC07GF511J to the affected fuel
quantity sender units. The resistor will
prevent transistor leakage current from
causing the FUEL LOW caution light to
glow dimly when the fuel quantity is
above the low level warning point (35 or
70 pounds of fuel, as appropriate).
D The alteration of the affected helicopters
by this modification has been shown to
comply with Federal Aviation Regula
tions and is FAA-Approved.
A. Modification of P/N 369D296303−BSC,
−701 Fuel Quantity Sending Units
Consumable Materials
(Ref. Section 91−00−00)

CM429 Sealing compound, silicone
CM815 Solder
Ensure that all electrical
power is OFF and helicopter
is electrically grounded while install
ing resistor.
(1). Set helicopter MASTER switch to OFF
and remove any external power source.
(2). Remove left fuel cell access door (Ref.
Sec. 52-50-00).
(3). Disconnect tank unit wiring harness at
fuel shutoff cable support bracket (Ref.
Sec. 28-00-00).
(4). Carefully cut and peel enough potting
compound from top of tank unit to
expose electrical terminals and circuit
board (Ref. Figure 802).
(5). Using tin alloy solder (CM815), solder
leads of resistor P/N RC07GF511J to
tank unit as shown.
(6). Fill area where potting compound was
removed with sealing compound
(CM429), ensuring that resistor
installation is covered.
(7). Allow sealing compound to cure
approximately two hours prior to
completing procedure. (The compound
will fully cure in 48 hours.)
(8). Reconnect tank unit wiring harness.
(9). Turn on electrical power and check fuel
quantity indicator for correct reading
with a known quantity of fuel.
(10). Perform operational check of FUEL
LOW caution light (Ref. Caution/Warn
ing System Operational Check) with a
fuel quantity greater than low level
warning limit, to ensure that FUEL
LOW caution light does not glow under
this condition.
(11). Reinstall left fuel cell access door.
