3.8.4.1 Differential Relay Test Configuration Screen
The test configuration menu is used to adjust the advanced relay testing parameters. The TVI
has default test parameters that should not need to be adjusted by the user. If the user has
determined these values do need to be adjusted, then following the directions in the TVI
Operations section.

Pickup Ramp Specifications
Increment % / 10 cycles This value is used to control the how fast the
MPRT will increase the current to determine the
pickup value. The value input into this field is in
% increase per 10 cycles. The default value for
this field is 1 % of pickup. Example: If the
pickup value requires 1.0 ampere the MPRT will
increase the current magnitude 0.01 amperes
every 10 cycles until the relay contacts close.
For smaller increments, use a smaller
percentage.
Instantaneous Pulse Ramp Specifications
Increment % This value is used to control the how fast the
MPRT will increase the current to determine the
Instantaneous pickup value. The value input into
this field is in % increase per pulse. The default
value for this field is 1 % of pickup. Example: If
the pickup value requires 10 amperes the MPRT
will increase the current magnitude 0.1 amperes
for the Pulse Time On value until the relay
contacts close. For smaller increments, use a
smaller percentage.
