NOTICE
Water trapped in the seawater section of the cooling system can cause corrosion or
freeze damage. Drain the seawater section of the cooling system immediately after
operation or before any length of storage in freezing temperatures. If the boat is in the
water, keep the seacock closed until restarting the engine to prevent water from flowing
back into the cooling system. If the boat is not fitted with a seacock, leave the water inlet
hose disconnected and plugged.
16.
Place a tag at the helm and in the engine compartment stating that the seacocks are
closed and must be opened after all drain plugs and hoses are installed, prior to starting
the engines.
Checking the Seawater Pickup on the Drive
1. Ensure that the water inlet openings for the seawater pickup are clean and not
obstructed. Carefully remove any obstructions. Do not damage the composite seawater
pickup cover.
