The heater’s temperature will not rise to the set level
Check the basic operation.
Image quality is poor
This section describes the corrective actions to be taken in case the image quality is not satisfactory.
Take remedy for particular problems with image quality. If the remedy does not work, contact your dealer or an office of
MIMAKI.
Nozzle is clogged
Press the [END / POWER] key to turn on the power If the nozzle clogging does not resolve even if cleaning the head with
the operation on P.2-11, check the following items.
Wash the head nozzle by the operations of P.4-8.
Wash the head nozzle surface by the operations of P.4-12.
Replace the wiper of P.4-17.
Recovery the nozzle by the operations of P.4-15.
If an abnormality occurs in the state of the ink
When an abnormality occurs in the ink condition, the LED "Red" lights and a warning message is displayed.
All operations related to ink ejection such as printing and cleaning can not be performed.
Please promptly change to a new ink pack.
Displaying the description of ink IC trouble
The contents of IC error are confirmable by the following operations.

Press the key in LOCAL.

Is the 100V/200V switch in the correct
position?
Set the switch to match your power source.
Yes
Is the heater temperature setting effective ?
Set the heater temperature. ( P.3-6)
Phenomenon Measures
White lines / blur / dark stripes (in the
direction of travel of the heads)
(1) Execute the head cleaning. ( P.2-11)
(2) Perform maintenance of the inside of the station. ( P.4-6)
(3) Execute the [FEED COMP.] function. ( P.3-4)
(4) If any pieces of paper or dust is attached on the path of the heads such as
media press, remove it.
Characters are double- or triple-printed in
the media feed direction
(1) Execute the [FEED COMP.] function. ( P.3-4)
Disagreement in print positions between
outward trip and homeward trip
(1) Execute the [DROP POSITION] function. ( P.3-5)
Ink drops falling on media during printing
(1) Execute the wiper cleaning. ( P.4-6)
(2) Execute the ink cap cleaning. ( P.4-6)
(3) Clean around the head. ( P.4-12)
(4) Execute the head cleaning [NORMAL]. ( P.2-11)
Once ink trouble is displayed, do not leave the ink pack without replacing it for a long time; otherwise, the machine will lose
the nozzle clogging prevention function.
If nozzles are clogged, the machine must be repaired by MIMAKI's service engineer.
