Remove the Cap.
Pull it up while pushing in the protrusion of the
cap.

Attach a new Cap.
Place the notch this side and securely fit until it
clicks.

When replacement is complete, press the
key.

Close the front cover, and press the
key.
After its initial operation, the machine returns to
step 1.
Replacing the Cap Absorber
Cap Absorber (PN:SPC-0845) is a consumable item. If
the dirt is severe or the ink falls off from the carriage,
replace it.

Press
(MENU)
in LOCAL.

Press to select
"MAINTENANCE", and press the
key.
The MAINTENANCE menu is displayed.

Press to select "STATION
MAINT.", and press the key.

Press to select "CARRIAGE
OUT", and press the key.
The carriage moves over the platen.

Open the front cover.

Remove the Cap Absorber.
Remove the clasps at the front (3 points) and pull
it out.

Insert a new Cap Absorber.
Align the notches with the protrusions at the back
and install it.

When replacement is complete, press the
key.

Close the front cover, and press the
key.
After its initial operation, the machine returns to
step 1.
The Cap Absorber is an optional item. You can
buy one through your local dealer or from our ser-
vice office.
