Chapter 4 Maintenance
Replacing the Media Press
If the media press (PN:SPC-0789) becomes deformed
and rubs against the head, you need to replace it.

Turn OFF the power of the connected PC.

Turn the power off, by giving the
key a long press.

Turn off main power switch.
Tilt the main power switch on the side of the unit
to "" side.

Open the maintenance cover.

Remove the media press stopper.
Loosen the side screw and remove it.

Remove the media press.

Remove the slider.
The media press is an optional item. You can buy
one through your local dealer or from our service
office.
Make sure you do not lose the slider when you
remove it from the media press.
When turning the main power switch off for moving
the machine or for solving the error or the like,
press the [END/POWER] key a long time on the
front of the machine, check the display is turned
off on the operation panel, and then turn the main
power switch off.
