Chapter 4 Maintenance
Replacing the Carriage filter
Replace the Carriage filter (PN:SPC-0844) when it gets
too dirty.

Turn OFF the power of the connected PC.

Turn the power off, by giving the
key a long press.

Turn off main power switch.
Tilt the main power switch on the side of the unit
to "" side.

Open the front cover.

Remove the Carriage filter.

Insert a new Carriage filter.

Close the front cover.

Turn the main power switch ON.
(1) Set the main power switch located on the
side of this machine to the "I" side.
When the power is turned on, the firmware
version is displayed and the initial operation
is executed.
(2) Press the [END / POWER] key to turn on the
power.
The Carriage filter is an optional item. You can buy
one through your local dealer or from our service
office.
When turning the main power switch off for moving
the machine or for solving the error or the like,
press the [END/POWER] key a long time on the
front of the machine, check the display is turned
off on the operation panel, and then turn the main
power switch off.
