10.1 Introduction
The chapter outlines the routine maintenance guidelines.
The device is designed for stable operation over long periods of time. Under normal
circumstances the device should not require technical maintenance beyond that
described in this chapter. However, routine maintenance, calibration and safety checks
are recommended at least once every two years or more often as required by local
statutory or hospital administration practice.
10.2 Safety
• Failure on the part of the responsible individual hospital or institution
employing the use of this equipment to implement a satisfactory
maintenance schedule may cause undue equipment failure and possible
health hazards.
• The safety checks or maintenance involving any disassembly of the
equipment should be performed by service personnel. Otherwise, undue
equipment failure and possible health hazards could result.
• No modification of this equipment is allowed.
• To avoid the electric shock, do not open the central charger housing.
• All servicing and future upgrades must be carried out by the service
personnel.
• All replaced components and accessories as well as consumables are
provided or qualified by Mindray.
• If you discover a problem with any of the equipment, contact your service
personnel or Mindray.
• The service personnel must be properly qualified and thoroughly familiar
with the equipment operation.
