4-Patient leakage current test
Overview
The patient leakage current test aims to measure the leakage current between the available
applied part and the ground. All measurements can adopt the RMS value.
Test process
• Preparations
Calibrate the menu of the major applied part.
The following output conditions are required for this test:
Normal Polarity, Earth Open, Outlet ON
Normal Polarity, Outlet ON
Normal Polarity, L2 Open, Outlet ON
Reversed Polarity, Outlet ON
Reversed Polarity, Earth Open, Outlet ON
Reversed Polarity, L2 Open, Outlet ON
• WARNING
If all applied parts pertain to the same anti-shock type, connect all applied parts and obtain a
single measurement value. If the applied parts pertain to different anti-shock types, test all
applied parts respectively by type in auto or step mode.
• Performing the test
1. Press 6. The patient leakage current test appears on the screen and the test begins.
2. Press APPLIED PART (soft key 4) to select the required applied part leakage current.
3. Press the corresponding soft key on the panel of the 601 PRO tester to modify the output
configurations of the tester front panel.
4. Press the print key to print the latest measurements.
• NOTICE
If the adopted current test standard does not incorporate the DC value of the patient leakage
current, or the DC option is unavailable, the measured DC value cannot be obtained through
the APPLIED PART soft key.
