Performance, life, and startability of the engine
depend to a large degree on the engine oil. Always
use oil of the specified grade and viscosity.

If you drive your vehicle under any of the following
conditions (severe conditions), the engine oil should
be replaced every 15,000 km (9,000 miles) .
• The vehicle is driven mostly at 20 km/h (12 mph)
or slower.
• Operation involves starting and stopping the
engine frequently (at 10-minute intervals or
shorter).
• The vehicle is repeatedly driven for short dis-
tances of less than 10 km (6 miles).
CAUTION
• If the warning is displayed, replace the
engine oil as soon as possible.
• If the warning and warning (amber) are
displayed alternately, replace the engine oil
immediately. If the same oil is used even after
the warning, the engine may suffer various
problems, including uncontrolled revving of
the engine in an extreme case.
