1 Preparation for tire replacement
•
Park the vehicle on a flat, hard surface. Pull the
parking brake all the way on. Place the gearshift
lever in the “P” position.
• Be sure to stop the engine.
• If you get a flat tire while on the road and need
to change it on the spot, pull up your vehicle in a
safe place where it will not block traffic, and acti-
vate your hazard warning lamps to flash and use
a red or white flag or cloth to give warning to
passing vehicles.
• Have all passengers get out of the vehicle.
• Remove any heavy cargo from the vehicle.
• Block the tire diagonally opposite to the tire to
be replaced with a chock.
Example:
Block the left front tire if the right rear tire is to be
replaced.
• Prepare a replacement tire.
NOTE:
• Your vehicle is not provided with a replacement
tire as standard equipment.
