The MELSEC System Q The CPU Modules
The PLC CPUs of the MELSEC System Q are equipped
with a battery. During interruption of the power supply the
battery can hold the data of the program memory, the
built-in RAM and the clock for several thousand hours.
However, this time depends on the type of CPU.
The battery should be changed every 10 years.
The SRAM memory cards have an own battery
(Q2MEM-BAT) and are therefore independent from the
battery of the CPU.
