SECTION 3
23
To change the time interval between the J-point and the ST measurement point, use the J-ST up/down arrows to
select the desired interval.
Users can adjust the QRS onset and QRS offset at anytime after the template is learned. Click on MANUAL
AVG to change the pop-up window; the current ST lead displays along with adjustment buttons for Isoelectric
and J-Point. In addition, a spatial magnitude complex is displayed in the expanded average complex window.
The spatial magnitude complex is the summation of high-frequency signal magnitudes (vector sum) for all
12 leads. This allows the user to visually adjust the QRS onset and/or QRS offset using information from all
12 leads simultaneously.
Isoelectric: X- Scribe displays blue tick marks on the QRS onset of the spatial magnitude complex. As the
amplitude is defined as zero at QRS onset, the ST segment measurement displayed is the amplitude difference
between QRS onset and the measurement point selected after the J-point.
Use the spatial magnitude complex to visually adjust the QRS onset. Click on the left arrow to shift the tick
marks to the left; click on the right arrow to shift the tick marks to the right. Each click represents a change of
two milliseconds.
J-Point: X- Scribe displays blue tick marks on the J-point or QRS offset of the spatial magnitude complex.
Use the spatial magnitude complex to visually adjust the QRS offset. Click on the left arrow to shift the tick
marks to the left; click on the right arrow to shift the tick marks to the right. Each click represents a change of
two milliseconds.
NOTE: The interval between QRS offset and the ST measurement point will not be altered when changing
the QRS offset.
Once both adjustments are made, X-Scribe updates all ST measurements displayed onscreen. 12-lead ECGs
obtained after a change also reflect the updated tick mark position. Click OK to save changes.
During the Final Report phase, the user can adjust the QRS onset and/or the QRS offset retrospectively. After the
adjustment, X-Scribe generates the final reports in which all ST levels printed correspond to the degree of QRS
onset/offset adjustment.
Relearn instructs X-Scribe to automatically relearn a new dominant QRS complex such as when a patient changes
position or the QRS morphology changes. If Relearn is selected, X-Scribe erases any previously stored events.
COMPARE
F9
Select COMPARE or F9 to modify the measurement location of the J-point on the ST and ST Profile bar graph.
The Compare pop-up window will appear allowing the user to relocate the J-point between 20 and 120 ms post J.
Selecting an item from the Event (F4) list will increase the displayed number of events that the current ECG can be
compared to. Maximum number of compare conditions is six.
Select the desired event for comparison and click OK. The current ECG and the 12 median beats with the overlay
of the selected event in comparison to the current ECG will display in the 4x medians window.
