2.3.4 Removing the microSD or CRYPTR Card
When and where to use: Use this procedure to remove the microSD or CryptR micro Encryption Card:
Procedure:
1 Press and hold the Powerbutton for three seconds.
2 Touch Power Off.
3 Touch OK.
4 Lift the battery cover.
5 Push the Card Holder lock down to release the card.
6 Remove the Card from the holder.
7 Replace the battery cover.
2.3.5 Installing the Public and Private SIM Cards
Prerequisites: Public and private phone services require a Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card. The card can
contain the following information:
•
Mobile phone service provider account details.
• Information regarding service access and preferences.
• Contact information, which can be moved to the People application on the LEX L10.
• Any additional subscribed services.
Note: The LEX L10 requires activated SIM cards. Obtain activated SIM cards from your organization
administrator.
Caution:
•
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) precaution.
• For proper ESD precautions to avoid damaging the SIM card. Proper ESD precautions include, but not
limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring that the user is properly grounded.
When and where to use: Use this procedure to install a SIM card:
Procedure:
1 If the battery is in place, remove the battery as described in Removing the Battery on page 32.
2 Slide the SIM card into the SIM card holder with the contacts facing down. Note the card notch position.
3 Push that the SIM card into the holder until it is fully seated and flat.
You should hear a click when the SIM card in fully in place.
