Making an Emergency Group Call
To initiate or answer a call:
1. Enter Emergency Mode by pressing the Emergency
button.
2. Press and hold PTT.
3. Wait for the talk permit tone (if configured) and talk.
4. Release PTT to listen.
Receiving an Emergency Group Call
1. The display shows Emrgncy In Use and the caller’s
identity as a private number or an alias.
2. The caller’s voice will always sound via the speaker (unless
an external earpiece is connected to the terminal).
If configured by your Service Provider, the screen
background will be red.
If the incoming call is an InterMNI call in Emergency Mode,
you can view network information by pressing Optns and
selecting Network.
If the incoming call is an InterMNI call not in Emergency
Mode, you can view network information by pressing
Network.
Your MTH800 enters TMO by pressing the Emergency button
(if configured by your Service Provider). The terminal attaches
to the predefined talkgroup and starts the Emergency Group
Call. If the predefined talkgroup is invalid the terminal attaches
to the last selected talkgroup.
