To
get
the
best
performance
from
your
diskettes
and
to
protect
the
information
you
need,
it's
best
to
keep
to
the
following
rulesĀ·
A.
Return
the
diskette
to
it's
storage
envelope
whenever
it
is
removed from
the
drive.
B. Keep
the
diskette
away from
magnetic
fields
and from
ferro-
magnetic
materials
which
might
become
magnetized.
Strong
magnetic
fields
can
distort
recorded
data
on
the
diskette.
Keep
diskettes
away from
telephones.
C.
Replace
storage
envelopes
when
they
become worn,
cracked
or
distorted.
Envelopes
are
designed
to
protect
the
diskette.
D.
Do
not
write
on
the
plastic
jacket
with
a
lead
pencil
or
ball-point
pen.
Use a
felt
tip
pen.
E.
Do
not
expose
the
diskette
to
heat
or
sunlight
or
to
an
unclean
environment.
F.
Head
contamination
or
dirt
can
damage
the
disk.
G.
Do
not
touch
or
attempt
to
clean
the
disk
surface.
