lose

spring
mounted

the
clutch
arm.

4.5.5 Head Load Solenoid
To
remove
the
solenoid,
proceed
as
follows
(refer
to
figure
4-8):
A.
Remove
the
Control
Electronics
PCBA
(see
paragraph
4.5.1.1).
B.
Remove
the
wires
from
the
two
solenoid
lugs.
C. Turn
the
drive
on
its
side
and remove
the
solenoid
mounting
screw
from
bottom
of
drive
chassis.
D.
Solenoid
is
now
free.
I CAUTION I
Be
careful
not
to
lift
solenoid
load
arm
straight
up
so
that
it
bends
the
upper
arm
assembly
past
its
normal
unloaded
position.
E.
Tilt
solenoid
up and
slide
the
load
arm
out
from
under
the
upper
arm
assembly
and
out
of
the
drive
chassis.
To
replace
the
solenoid
perform
the
preceding
steps
in
the
reverse
order;
be
sure
that:
A.
The
top
part
of
the
load
arm
is
beneath
the
top
step
of
the
upper
arm
(refer
to
figure
4-6).
B. Wires
are
not
pinched
between
the
bottom
of
the
solenoid
and
the
disk
drive
chassis.
c. Wires do
not
interfere
with
solenoid
spring.
