4.5.16 Door Lock Solenoid
To
remove and
replace
the
door
lock
mechanism
proceed
as
follows.
A.
Turn
the
drive
over
and remove
the
single
door
lock
mounting
screw
(see
figure
4-13).
B.
Cut
door
lock
wires
as
close
to
the
solenoid
as
possible.
C.
Cut
back
the
insulation
and
tin
both
wires.
D.
Slip
a
piece
of
shrink
tubing
over
each
wire
and
solder
the
wires
to
the
terminals
of
the
new
mechanism.
I CAUTION I
Be
careful
not
to
over
heat
the
terminals
as
damage
could
result
to
the
solenoid
wires
attached
to
the
terminals.
E.
Position
the
door
lock
arm
between
the
door
latch
and
the
chassis
and
replace
the
door
lock
mechanism
screw.

performing

procedures.
It
is
recommended
that
a
master
alignment
diskette
be
kept
and
that
each
alignment
be
verified
to
the
master.
