4.5.10 Head/Carriage Assembly
To remove the head/carriage assembly proceed as follows (refer to
figure 4-11):
A. Remove the Spindle Speed and Control Electronics PCBAs (see
paragraph 4.5.1).
B. Remove the stepper motor (see paragraph 4.5.8).
C. Cut tie-wraps if necessary to release the head cable(s) from
the drive harness.
D. Remove the four guide rod clamps.
E. Position the track sensor flag on the head/carriage assembly
between the track 00 and 43 sensors.
