15-02-27 Multiline Telephone Basic Data Setup, Retain Handset Volume
This option determines whether a multiline terminal’s handset volume will change back to the
system default (0) or whether it will be retained at the user’s setting (1) after hanging up the
handset. This command also controls LCD Contrast, Off-Hook Ringing Volume, Station Ringing
Volume and Speaker Volume.
Operation
To adjust the volume of incoming ringing and splash tone:
1. If the telephone is idle, press the Speaker key and dial 729. If the telephone is ringing, skip to Step
2.

To adjust the volume of ringing incoming Paging announcements, Handsfree, the handset or
Background Music:
1. Press VOLUME

.
The feature must be active to change the volume. Pressing the volume keys when the telephone is idle will adjust
the display’s contrast.
