4.3.5 Setting up a floating vendor scale network with data synchronization
You can set up different network types depending on your needs, e.g., with or without data synchro-
nization.
This example shows you how to set up a floating vendor scale network with data synchronization. For
this option, you will define one scale as "Data Server/ Master" (where the data are managed) and the
other scales as "Client" (where the data will be recalled from).
Configuring the "Data Server/Master" scale
1 Enter the menu and navigate to sub-menu F251 Network.
2 Ensure that "IP Mode" is set to "Automatic".
ð The scales are in the same network and can communicate
with each other.
3 Navigate to sub-menu F257 Data Server.
4 Define the scale as "Data Server/ Master" by changing the "Data
Server Type" to "Server".
5 Navigate to sub-menu F211 Item Recall.
6 Ensure that "Source of PLU" is set to "Local".
7 Ensure that "Data Synch at Start up" is set to "Disabled".
8 Navigate to sub-menu F233 Vendor.
