The area between the blank material shape and the finish contour is cut. The cutting tool
moves at the rapid feedrate in other areas. The time required for cutting is the shortest
possible.
(5) AP Mode V, Longitudinal Cutting Mode (G86 + G83 + G81 + G80) (LAP4 only)

Cutting is carried out along the blank material shape. Since the number of tool impacts against
the forged workpiece surface is small in this mode it is effective for untended night time
operation where tool life is an important consideration.
