CAUTION: To help keep the car under
control, do not
use
the
Cruise
Control
when it may not be safe
to
keep the
car
at
a constant speed. For example, a
constant speed may not be safe in heavy
or varying traffic, or on winding or
slippery roads. With the Cruise
Control
engaged, taking your foot off the
accelerator pedal does not allow engine
speed
to return
to
idle.

TOUCH
HORN
CONTROL
The horn
is
sounded
by
pressing any
portion
of
the padded center section of the
steering wheeL
With
the optional sport steering wheel, the
horn is sounded
by
pressing the horn
cap
in
the center of the steering wheel.
On
the
deluxe wheel, the horn
is
sounded
by
pressing any portion of the center section
of the spoke pad.
POWER
STEERING
If
the power steering system
goes
out
because the engine has stalled
or
due
to
a
failure, the car can still be steered.
However, much
greater effort
is
needed,
especially in sharp turns or at
low
speeds.
TILT-AWAY
STEERING
WHEEL
The Tilt-Away steering wheel (optional)
can
be
tilted above normal position
to
provide additional room for entrance and
exit.
It
can also be set in selected driving
positions above, at or below normal height.
The tilt mechanism
is
operated by pulling
toward you the small control lever on the
left
side
of
the steering column just below
the turn signal lever; moving the steering
wheel
to
the selected position; and
releaSing
the
lever
to
lock it in place.
