Chapter 4 Operation

When using an endoscope for the non-sterilized zone
1. Insert the endoscope's distal end into the white cap and hold the white cap
and endoscope stable to avoid wash-out of the monitor image (see Figure
4.10).

2. Maintaining the stable condition in step 1., press the “Wh/B” button until a
short beep is generated. The result of the adjustment will be displayed on
the monitor for a few seconds (see Table 4.2).
3. Confirm that the “Wh/B OK” indicator is ON (see Table 4.1). If it is OFF, go
back to step 1. again.
When performing white balance adjustment keep an
appropriate distance between distal end and white cap.
Otherwise, the white balance might not be adjusted properly.
Result Message
Completed successfully “White balance complete!”
“Check NBI white balance.”
(When using NBI compatible endoscope.)
Failed “White balance incomplete! Perform again!”
