Overview
The Omnia.9 remote interface software is a separate “client” software application that can be
downloadedandinstalledonnearlyanydesktop,laptop,ortabletPCofreasonablymodernvintage
runningonWindowsXP,Vista,or7.
Withjustafewdifferences,whichwillbediscussedinthismanualaddendum,thisclientsoftware
looksandoperatesexactlylikethefrontpanelcontrolsoftheOmnia.9itself(includingtouchscreen
supportonPC’sprovidingthatfeature)toprovideafamiliarandfeaturerichmeansofcontrolling
yourOmnia.9 remotely.If youcan doitonthefrontpanel,youcan doit viaremote afeature
you’llappreciate if yourOmnia.9islocated in a noisy rack room,atthetransmitter site,or even
thousandsofmilesawayatadistantstationyouoversee.
Perhapsoneofthe most valuable capabilitiesof the clientsoftwareis speakercalibration. Since
your Omnia.9 already contains a builtin pink noise generator and an RTA, adding your own
calibratedmicrophonetothesetupwillallowyoutoperformacalibrationofanyspeakersystem–
includingyourstudio,controlroom,rackroom,productionfacility,oranyremotemonitorpoint.
