Before configuring or using the MDI-4000 Series scan engines, make sure that you are familiar
with their physical details and specifications.

The scan engine model is a combination of the model name, focus, and interface.

The standard scan engine models have these configurations. Additional configurations are
available by special order. For help, contact your Opticon Sales Representative.
The standard scan engine model configuration is a scan engine with an integrated decoder
board, Standard Range focus, and a UART interface:
• MDI-4150 SRB
• MDI-4050 SRB
• MDI-4100 SRB
• MDI-4000 SRB
