5.7.3 APPLY – DISENGAGE THE HILL HOLDER
In order to be able to climb slopes, your wheelchair can be equipped with a hill holder
mechanism to stop backward movement when climbing.
Figure 51-A : Hill holder disengage. Figure 51-B : Hill holder apply.
1. To put the hill holder in function, lower the lever towards the ground
(see; figure 51-B);
2. To disengage the hill holder, pull the lever upwards. The wheelchair is now free
to move backward (see; figure 51-A).
When driving the wheelchair, hold your fingers distant
from this mechanism.
