19.2.1 Disassembling the probe
First, unplug the probe from the instrument. Remove the tip and then the
lid (g. 1). Remove the coupler tubes by pushing the end of the tubes
down onto a hard surface (g. 2). Pull out the tubes by gripping them (g.
3). Never remove them by pulling on the cable. Finally, pull the coupler
tubes away from the probe (g. 4).
19.2.2 Reassembling the probe
Fit the new coupler tubes to the probe assembly (g. 1). Fit the outer shell
(gs. 2 and 3), followed by the lid (g. 4). Click the lid into place using rm
nger pressure only. Finally, t a new tip (g. 4).

Notes:
• Fit a new tip for each test.
• Check that the coupler tubes are not contaminated before
tting the tip.
• If the coupler tubes are contaminated, replace them. We
recommend tting new coupler tubes at regular intervals
(approx every 20-40 tests) as a preventive measure.
• Perform weekly probe QA tests (see chapter
17 Quality
checks).
