External Display
You can connect an external display to use a large screen, or connect an LCD projector to
give a presentation.
For explanations of display mode terminology, refer to “Read Me First” (Î page 2).
1 Power off your computer.
(⇒ Operating Instructions "Starting Up/Shutting Down")
z Do not connect or disconnect devices while the computer is in standby or
hibernation mode.
2 Connect the external display to the external display port (A) on your
computer.
3 Turn on the external display, then turn on your computer.
4 Change the display destination.
There are two methods to change the display destination. Do not change the
display destination using any method other than the following ones.
z Press the
Fn

F3
key. (Î page 17)
• Extended Desktop switching cannot be used
• Do not press any keys or slide the power switch until the display
destination has changed completely
z Use [Intel(R) 82852/82855 MG/GME Graphics Controller] screen
A Click [start] - [Control Panel], and from the [See Also] area click [Other Control
Panel Options] as shown at left.
B Click [Intel(R) Extreme Graphics] - [Devices].
