2.7 Basic Operations
This section explains the basics of using the unit.
2.7.1 Going off- and on-hook
Going off-hook
In this manual, when you see the phrase "off-hook", you can do any of the following:
[In standby mode]
Lift the corded handset off its cradle.
Press
/ SP-PHONE while the corded handset is on its cradle.
This enables hands-free mode.
Press / HEADSET when using a headset.
Tap the corresponding function key to select a line.

When a function key is assigned as a Line key or Line Status key, this feature is available.
Going on-hook
In this manual, when you see the phrase "on-hook", you can do any of the following:
[During a conversation]
Replace the corded handset on its cradle.
Press / SP-PHONE when you are in hands-free mode.
Press
/ HEADSET when using a headset.
Press / CANCEL .
Tap "Off".
